We grow different varieties of Mandarins allowing us to meet our demand all year long. Each variety has different flavour properties and other specific features such as for instance the skin, aging and seeds. We have strategically chosen the right varieties for each season, to efficiently address our customer’s market needs.
Nova: is a vigorous type of mandarin crossbreed between Tangelo and Clementine. The fruit is coloured, seedless and very juicy and its pulp has excellent organoleptic characteristics.
Fremont: this variety is a hybrid of Clementine and Ponkan Mandarin. The fruits are small and round. At maturity, its peel is dark red-orange, smooth and bright, with a thickness of 3 mm. It can easily stay on the tree after maturation without any deformation for about 3 months. The flesh is very adherent to the peel. Its bright dark orange flesh contains an average of 11 seeds, and owns a delightfully rich, sweet and delectable taste. Fremont’s juice content is around 44% when matured.
Ortanique: is a fabulous looking, conical-shaped fruit, with a thin granulated rind that adheres rather tightly and takes some peeling. The peel is a lovely bright yellow-orange colour. Its flesh is very juicy (37 to 50%) and nearly seedless, with a distinctive and rich flavour due to its long hanging on the tree. The Ortanique is usually very sweet with a strong balance of acidity.
Encore: is a medium size flattened shape clementine hybrid. It has a yellowish orange very thin skin, making it easy to peel off. It has a very soft flesh with many seeds. Encore’s juice content varies between 42 to 50%. It is one of the most appreciated mandarins in the market, given its amazing flavour and unique scent.
